Serving Up a New Brand and Site

Following the ongoing success and achievements of our players at Northumberland Tennis Academy, we decided it was time to turn our focus on NTA and embrace the digital age with a new brand and website that was reflective of these successes.

Our aim was to create a brand that would be more relevant for our players and really stand out from the crowd to give us the ‘advantage.’ We opted for a playful and professional brand that stays true to the heritage of NTA by incorporating the traditional red and yellow colour scheme.

Our new website is easy to access, mobile friendly, and more personal to the academy, featuring great action shots of our players and coaches across the site. We want the new NTA website to be a vehicle for sharing stories of player successes and general day to day activities, and a space for promoting our services, whilst also providing parents with the online resources they need to support their children’s tennis journey.

Accompanying the updated NTA brand and website, we have launched a new social profile on Instagram; be sure to give @ntabelieves a follow to stay in the game. We are hoping our new digital presence will encourage kids in the North East to get involved in tennis and help to attract new talent to the academy.

We sought the help of Cargo Creative, a creative design and digital agency based in North Shields, for our new brand and website. From start to finish, we worked alongside Cargo to deliver an ‘ace’ brand and website that effectively showcases the academy.

Carl Rutherford, Head of Creative at Cargo, has shared his insights on the updated NTA brand and site, stating ‘From our side we wanted to create a bold and playful brand that not only looks professional but is also engaging and fun for all age groups and skill levels. The aim of the brand was to set NTA as the tennis hub of the north that provides a pathway for the area's talented tennis players. The logo itself has its professional more trusted side but also displays action and movement through the manipulation of the typography. These shapes and visual elements are then represented in the brand and marketing elements.

The Northumberland Tennis Academy manager, Chris Sanderson, has also shared his thoughts on the project, saying 'It has been very exciting working with Cargo to come up with the new brand and website. From the outset and with their experience, they had some great ideas which we were able to collaborate on to arrive at this fantastic end result. A big thanks to them for all their help.'

We hope you will take the opportunity to engage with us as much as possible on this excellent new platform.

Overall, we are excited with the updated NTA brand and website and hope that you ‘love’ it just as much as we do! Keep your eyes peeled for more updates and communications in the upcoming months.
